The Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH is a German major yacht builder, with its headquarters in Giebelstadt, Bavaria, Germany. The model range consists of both sailing and motor yachts, of which especially the sailing yachts are very common. With ca. 600 employees, ca. 2,500 sailing and motor yachts are produced per year, making the Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH one of Europe's biggest yacht wharfs.

In June 2007 Bain Capital acquired Bavaria Yachtbau for a price rumored to be about €1.3B Euros.[1]
