Summary
This image is a 19th century painting which belonged to the McClearn family of Liverpool Nova Scotia and now part of the W. Woods Collection.[1]. The schooner lettered on the painting as Liverpool is likely the 1848 schooner Liverpool owned by the McClearn family[2] although it is often used to represent the War of 1812 privateer schooner Liverpool Packet[3]
