MS Nordstjernen is a Hurtigruten vessel constructed in Hamburg, Germany in 1956, and is currently (2009) the oldest operational ship in the Hurtigruten fleet. She was extensively refitted in 1980[4] and continues to sail on cruises to the Svalbard archipelago.
