SS Hatteras (U.S. Freighter, 1917)
Probably photographed in 1917 while still in the hands of her builders, Bethlehem Shipbuilding, Sparrows Point, Maryland. Ordered for the Cunard Line under the name War Dragon, she was taken over by the Navy and served during World War I as USS Hatteras (ID # 2142).
