On 10 June 1796, she was wrecked off Pontusval, near Brignogan. Refloated, she cruised near Batz under Lieutenant Hurtel.

On 4 August 1798, while moored off Batz, she was captured by HMS Melpomene and Childers. She was brought into British service as HMS Aventurier'.
