The Sante Elisabeth was a 32-gun frigate of the Navy of the Knights of St John of Malta, later brought into French service as the Cartaginoise.

Built in 1782 in La Valette, Sante Elisabeth was launched the year after and served with the Maltese Navy until the isand was taken by the French during the Mediterranean campaign of 1798, on 11 June.

Readied to sail to Alexandria, she found herself blockaded by the British Siege of Malta, and stay in harbour until captured when the island surrendered.
