The list of shipwrecks in 2010 includes all ships sunk, foundered, grounded, or otherwise lost during 2010.

January

5 January

The trimaran Ady Gil ( New Zealand), belonging to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is severely damaged in a collision with the whaler Shōnan Maru 2 ( Japan). The six crew were rescued by the Bob Barker.[1][2] The vessel sank on 7 January despite efforts to tow it to a port.[3]

25 January

An unnamed boat (22x20px Philippines) sunk in rough waters off the province of Bataan on January 25 with only 2 crew rescued by a passing vessel. 8 fishermen are missing. [4]

30 January

An unnamed boat (22x20px India) capsized in the Godavari River, Andhra Pradesh, 12 dead, 40 reported missing.[5] [6] [7]

February

17 February

Barquentine Concordia (Template:Country data Barbados): Capsized and sank 550 kilometres (300 nmi) off Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

21 February

Angeln (22x20px Antigua and Barbuda): capsized and sank off Saint Lucia.

March

26 March

Pohang-class corvette Cheonan (22x20px Republic of Korea Navy) sank off Baengnyeong Island after an on-board explosion.[8]

Unknown date

Yacht Alta (22x20px Ecuador) ran aground entering the harbour of Puerto Ayora, Galápagos Islands and was declared a constructive total loss.[9]

April

3 April

Shen Neng 1 (22x20px People's Republic of China) ran aground off Great Keppel Island, Australia.[10] Refloated 12 April.[11]

22 April

Oil rig Deepwater Horizon (22x20px Marshall Islands) sank two days after an explosion and fire.

May

2 May

Bright Century ( Japan) collided with Sea Success (22x20px Liberia) 23 nautical miles (43 km) east of the Shangdong Peninsula (37°38′N 123°04′E / 37.633°N 123.067°E / 37.633; 123.067) and sank. All 23 crew rescued.[12]

6 May

An unnamed longboat (Template:Country data Democratic Republic of the Congo) capsized killing at least 20 people, with 60 more missing.[13]

8 May

Andrew J. Barberi ( United States) collided with the terminal at Staten Island, New York. Over 60 people are injured.

June

9 June

Ketch Lord Rank ( Ireland) sank after hitting rocks off Ballycastle the previous day.[14]
