Sylphe was ar Abeille class 16-gun brig of the French Navy.
She took part in Allemand's expedition of 1805 under commander Langlois, capturing the merchantman Brothers. She also took part in the Action of 25 September 1806.
In August 1807, as she cruised with Diligente and Espiègle, she was captured by the 18-gun HMS Comet, and brought into Royal Navy service as HMS Seagull [1].
She was broken up in 1814.
