The first HMS Epervier, sometimes spelled HMS Epervoir, was a 16-gun brig-sloop of the Royal Navy in service from 1797 to 1801.
Epervier was operating as a French privateer when HMS Cumberland (1774) captured her off the coast of Ireland on 12 November 1797.
Epervier was sold on 7 September 1801.
