HMS Venerable was a 74-gun third rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, launched on 12 April 1808 at Northfleet.[1]
On 31 December 1813, she captured the French privateer which became HMS Jason.
On 16 January 1814, she captured the 44-gun Alcmène, which was brought into British service as HMS Dunira, and later renamed Immortalite[1].
She was placed on harbour service in 1825, and was broken up in 1838.[1]
