MV Seabourn Quest is a luxury cruise ship on order for Seabourn Cruise Line. Ordered from Italian shipbuilder T. Mariotti, the vessel is predicted to be in service by June 2011.

Design and construction

The ship is to be built by T. Mariotti at their shipyard in Genoa, Italy.[1] Seabourn Quest will be built to the same design as the preceding Seabourn Odyssey and Seabourn Sojourn: the smallest cruise ships in operation with any major cruise company.[2] The acquisition of the three ships will increase the passenger capacity of the cruise line by 200%.[2]

The ship's name was chosen through a competition inviting submissions from the public between September and December 2009.[2] From the 2,100 submissions (not including multiple suggested names per submission), "Quest" (with 120 suggestions) was selected by the company.[2]

The 32,000-GRT vessel will be capable of carrying 450 passengers.[2]

It is predicted that the cruise ship will enter service in June 2011.[2]
