Reaper was a privateer schooner commanded by Captain Ephraim Sturdivant during the War of 1812. The schooner weighed 206 tons and was armed with six carriage guns and 75 men. Captain Sturdivant was officially charged by President James Madison to use the ship to attack British shipping.
