Shanghai Express is a Hapag-Lloyd Hamburg Express class container ship, delivered in 2002. She was built by Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan, South Korea. She has a length of 320 metres, width of 43 metres. She has a capacity of 7,506 isotainers, up to 100,000 tons of freight,[citation needed] and carries this load at 25.3 knots (over 46 km/h). The engine output is 68,640 kilowatt (93,000 horsepower).
As of April 2008, other Hamburg Express class ships include the Berlin Express, Hong Kong Express, and Hamburg Express.
