Superior Energy Services is an oil and gas company based in Harvey, a suburb of New Orleans, Louisiana, with many other locations around the world.
Among its subsidiaries is Wild Well Control, which has built hardware (the containment dome, top hat Lower Marine Riser Package cap) that ultimately proved unsuccessful in stopping the oil flow from the broken blow out preventer in the the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.[1]
