The ship MS Shamrock is a Swedish schooner owned by the foundation Skeppsholmsgården. During the summer the ship goes out on two trips, one from Stockholm (its homeport) to Luleå or as far north in the Baltic Sea that they'll get and one trip from Stockholm to Karlskrona or as far south they'll get in the Baltic.
The ship is a sailing school for sailors and others (between the ages of 15 and 20) in the art of old-school sailing but most of all in the art of getting along with other people. The driving force behind the project is Holger Rehnberg who bought the ship for the foundation, well over 30 years ago. The trips are an education in old-fashioned and new seamanship but most of all it is a school for life.
