The MV Chinook is a passenger-only fast ferry previously operated by Washington State Ferries.
The Chinook was purchased from Washington State Ferries by the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District and will enter service with Golden Gate Ferry after a complete refit beginning in late 2009[3].
Her sister ship was also purchased and has been renamed as the MV Napa. The ferry had previously been mothballed at the WSF Shipyard at Eagle Harbor, Bainbridge Island for four years when she was placed on eBay for auction on February 14, 2008 with an asking price of $4.5 million (USD).[4]
